Frequently asked questions
Is my kink test result private?
You can see the initial result before creating an account. If you choose to save it, you can download the insights to your phone, or screenshot them.
What is a kink test?
A kink test is a questionnaire designed to help you reflect on sexual interests, emotional turn-ons, roles and boundaries. EDGE produces a personalised reflection rather than a clinical diagnosis or a score of how unusual you are.
Is the EDGE kink test free?
You can complete the test and see your initial result without paying. If you choose to continue using EDGE, the app will clearly explain the available free and paid access before any purchase.
Is this a BDSM test?
The test includes some BDSM-related dynamics, such as dominance, submission, restraint or power exchange, but it is broader than BDSM. It also considers sensuality, praise, care, role play, observation, emotional connection and curiosity.
Will it tell me whether I am dominant, submissive or a switch?
Those dynamics can contribute to your result, but EDGE does not force everyone into those three categories. Your turn-ons may be driven more strongly by care, connection, exploration, intensity or another emotional pattern.
Does a high kink score mean I am more sexual?
EDGE does not provide a high/low kink score. Interest in intense or unusual activities is not a measure of libido, sexual experience, confidence or the value of your sexuality.
What if the result feels wrong?
Treat the result as a prompt, not an authority. Notice which answers or interpretations do not fit. If you continue in EDGE, Lola can help you question the result rather than defend it.
Does having a kink mean I need to act on it?
No. An interest may remain a fantasy, become a conversation or never go further. Exploration is always optional and shared activity always requires explicit consent.
Is this a validated psychological assessment?
No. The EDGE kink test is a structured self-reflection tool. It does not diagnose a condition or replace professional medical, psychological or therapeutic support.
